Forever and a day

Me and him were running errands one evening
and we stopped at a Walgreen's
cause nature was calling me.
When I was done, I came out and he smiled at me
and, I don't know, I guess that got to me.
He waited for me. Patiently, unselfishly
something that not everyone does
and because of that I know for a fact
that with him my heart will always stay intact.
It won't fall apart or break into pieces
and I know this cause he is here to stay
but not for long, just  forever and a day !
